We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Uniting AgeWell Strathdevon in Latrobe. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to our residents with complex needs, including palliative care, dementia support, restorative care, and pain management.
Key Responsibilities- Provide person-centered care to residents, taking into account their cultural, spiritual, and individual needs.
- Manage complex care needs, including catheter management, palliative care, wound management, and identification and escalation of clinical deterioration.
- Lead, support, and educate Enrolled Nurses and Extended Care Assistants to ensure high-quality care delivery.
- Promote a harmonious team approach by coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure seamless care delivery and resident satisfaction.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Div 1.
- Experience as a registered nurse in residential aged care or home care (preferred).
- Experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired).
- Strong decision-making, critical analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to delegate and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to working in a values-based organization that prioritizes kindness, respect, integrity, innovation, and inclusion.
- A current Working With Vulnerable People card.
- Current and ongoing flu vaccinations.
- Australian working rights.
- Ability to pass a national police clearance.
