Play Coordinator Job Description

Our organisation is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Coordinator to join our team in the Children's Ward. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families during their hospital stay.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging play activities that cater to the diverse needs and developmental stages of hospitalised children. This will involve designing and facilitating age-appropriate play programs, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment that fosters emotional well-being, cognitive development, and social interaction.

As the Play Coordinator, you will play a vital role in enhancing the hospital experience for children, helping them cope with the challenges of hospitalisation through the power of play.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement play activities for hospitalised children
  • Develop and maintain a safe and stimulating play environment
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective delivery of care
Requirements:
  • AQF Certificate III relevant to employee's position
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively
