This role is responsible for providing day-to-day privacy compliance advice to assigned reporting units. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of applicable privacy legislation in their designated region.
- Provide expert guidance on data protection and privacy regulations to business stakeholders.
- Maintain a deep understanding of regional and international data privacy laws, such as CPRA, PIPEDA, China PIPL, and Europe's GDPR.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in the Global Privacy Office to monitor and act upon incoming data privacy inquiries, incidents, and breaches.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering data privacy training to company personnel and providing feedback on local privacy program requirements to the Global Privacy Office Strategy team.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in law, IT, or business/finance or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in operational data privacy work, ideally with a multinational company.
- Familiarity with data privacy, network security concepts, technologies, and practices.
The ideal candidate will possess proven skills in providing pragmatic day-to-day advice to business stakeholders and familiarity with the requirements of multiple Asia-Pacific Privacy Laws.
Preferred Qualifications- IAPP Certification such as CIPP/E, CIPM or CIPT.
- Information Security Certification such as CISSP or CISM.
