Job Title: Data Governance Specialist

This role is for a professional to work in a department responsible for maintaining and managing data across various systems.

  • The ideal candidate will have superior experience and knowledge of MRO cataloguing standards, including guidelines from industry-leading organizations.
  • They should also have previous experience working with SAP Material Master Data and overall knowledge of Plant Maintenance Master Data and Materials Management principles.
  • Additionally, they will need advanced skills in MS Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to work under pressure managing multiple tasks, be resilient, and enthusiastic within a highly agile working environment, and contribute positively to the team are also essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing new cataloguing requests and change requests, providing governance of cataloguing requests, ensuring consistency across the entire catalogue, and defining material classification using item type definitions and class assignment templates.

They will also provide advice to business end-users on all aspects related to cataloguing of differing parts and material types, participate in regular team meetings, and provide reporting on progress and impediments of catalogue requests.

The role may require domestic travel to offshore or onshore locations as needs arise.
