Justice Officer Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Justice Officer to provide support and advice in the day-to-day operations of prison stores functions, including warehouse, procurement, and administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of occupational health and safety practices and be able to work productively and respectfully as part of a dedicated team.

The Justice Officer - Stores will ensure electronic and paper-based record keeping systems are up to date and accurate and perform other duties as required by the position.

About the Position

This is a permanent full-time position with a rotational roster framework featuring task responsibilities in accordance with the position responsibilities.

The role requires direct prisoner contact and may involve weekend and public holiday work, remunerated in accordance with applicable provisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality business services related to stores for the prison.
  • Ensure electronic and paper-based record keeping systems are up to date and accurate.
  • Perform other duties as required by the position.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in a range of stores-related tasks, including purchasing, procurement, and stock control.
  • Demonstrated understanding of occupational health and safety practices.
  • Warehousing certificates/qualifications are desirable.
  • Forklift license is desirable.
  • Operating elevating work platform - RIIHAN301E is desirable.
