Public Area Cleaner Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Public Area Cleaner to join our Housekeeping team at Abode, a residential apartment building in St Leonards, New South Wales, Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the property's public areas, including the pool, gym, and shared bathrooms, are consistently clean and well-maintained.
  • Collaborate with room attendants to support room cleaning and linen removal as needed.
  • Operate specialized equipment and chemicals safely and efficiently.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and security matters, and working with other departments to resolve issues.
  • Act as a liaison between maintenance and guest services teams, reporting any issues promptly.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently, managing time effectively.
  • Adaptability and physical fitness to work in various environments, including staircases and uncovered areas.
  • Ability to work a flexible rotating schedule, including nights, overnights, weekends, and public holidays as required.
