Broadcast Graphics Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Broadcast Graphics Technician to join our team at Foxtel Management Pty Limited. As a key member of our Graphics Operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our live broadcast production systems.
Key Responsibilities- Setup and testing of remote technical equipment, integrating real-time graphics system video feeds across outside broadcast and studio models
- Undertake incident maintenance on Broadcast and IT equipment efficiently and effectively to restore service as quickly as possible
- Collect and document information for subsequent problem management to eliminate or minimise recurring incidents
- Undertake planned maintenance on broadcast and IT equipment, including back-up, testing and servicing of application builds
- Prioritise maintenance activities ensuring that all duties are completed to an acceptable standard in a timely and safe manner
- Develop and maintain maintenance instructions, equipment guides and configuration information
- Integrate, commission and perform testing on new systems and equipment as part of operational handover
- Undertake project related tasks and assist within project delivery tasks
- Maintaining database assets and updating where necessary
- Follow up, track outstanding issues, and report progress to head of Graphics Operations
- Performing server and network maintenance tasks
- Updating system incident logs to ensure trends identified and escalated to problem management for further analysis
- At least three years' experience in multi-channel live TV 24x7 network systems, understanding user requirements and workflow within the TV Production and Business IT environments
- Experience with real-time graphics platforms – specifically Vizrt / Trio control
- Previous Broadcasting experience in repairing and maintaining Analogue and Digital Broadcast equipment (Video, Audio, RF)
- Demonstrable computer networking skills to support an efficient maintenance service across Broadcast and IT networked devices/systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks against tight deadlines and work well under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to provide clear and concise technical support services to the Studio Production and Operations areas
- Good understanding of Microsoft server environments
- Experience working with the Windows Desktop environment
- Ability to recognise and solve IT problems as the real-world problems of people trying to get their work done quickly and efficiently, often under very tight broadcast deadlines
- An Electronics and Communications Certificate (or Diploma/Associate Diploma in Electronics Engineering) or equivalent
