Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to lead our Application Support Team at BCS Technology. This role involves overseeing the team's operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and fostering a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance, coordination, and mentorship to the Application Support Team.
- Manage and prioritize incidents and tasks to achieve service level agreements.
- Encourage a culture of teamwork, technical excellence, and continuous professional development.
- Support the establishment of a robust Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) culture.
- Assist senior ICT stakeholders in resource coordination for effective management of major incidents, problems, changes, and releases.
- Develop strong working relationships with IT Operations and key business stakeholders to align operational support activities.
- Promote and ensure compliance with change control processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge management systems and documentation.
- Ensure applications are aligned with business processes through comprehensive business process knowledge.
- Oversee system backups, documenting schedules and providing recommendations for future enhancements.
- Actively participate in the development and execution of system improvement initiatives.
- Regularly assess system performance, capacity, and security, identifying areas for enhancement.
- Validate external information from multiple sources and apply appropriate analytical techniques.
- Investigate security breaches according to established protocols and recommend necessary actions.
- Ensure proactive measures are taken to identify, investigate, and resolve system and service issues, documenting all findings.
- Promote safe working practices in compliance with OH&S policies.
- Participate in an on-call roster for after-hours support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving abilities in application administration, development, and maintenance within a commercial computing environment.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities without compromising service quality.
- Familiarity with BPMN practices and frameworks.
- Experience in Database System Administration.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies, including CI/CD pipelines and Lambda.
- Understanding of development practices and ITIL methodologies.
