About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care. This will involve working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs, acting as a role model for safe practice, and delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care.
  2. Provide complex and multi-disciplinary care.
  3. Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs.
  4. Act as a role model for safe practice.
  5. Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery.

Requirements

  1. Authority to Work in Australia.
  2. Working with Children check (if relevant).
  3. Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent.
  4. Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA with a minimum of 2 years experience.
  5. Demonstrated experience in a surgical environment advantageous.
  6. Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
  7. Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement.
  8. Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team.
  9. Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused.
  10. In Charge experience will be very highly regarded (opportunity to step up if desired with training and development provided).
  11. Flexibility to work a 7-day roster.
