About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Coronary Care Unit at Western Health. As a Cardiac Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to patients with acute cardiac and vascular conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional care to patients with complex cardiology conditions such as Acute Coronary Syndrome, heart failure, and arrhythmias.
  • Care for the acute vascular patient post-surgical and interventional procedures.
  • Work towards Clinical Nurse Specialist and leadership positions.
  • Contribute to the development of future cardiac nurses by mentoring Graduate RNs and students undertaking postgraduate cardiac studies.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a Bachelor of Nursing qualification with RN Registration through NMBA.
  • Successful completion of Postgraduate qualification in Cardiac or Critical Care Nursing.
  • Demonstrated cardiac nursing experience in an acute setting.
  • Competent in Advanced Life Support (ALS) to facilitate care and transport of monitored patients.
  • Demonstrate excellent clinical and organisation skills.
  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly developed communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to nurture junior staff and contribute to ward portfolios.
