Job Title: Laboratory Technician in Sydney
Job Summary:
Boral is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team in Sydney. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting testing and analysis of construction materials, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with laboratory work instructions and test methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct testing and analysis of construction materials in accordance with laboratory work instructions and test methods.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, including calibrations and checks, to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory work instructions, test methods, and preparation instructions.
- Participate in the maintenance of laboratory NATA accreditation requirements.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Section Head.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Science or relevant disciplines, such as Civil, Chemical, or Materials Engineering.
- Previous laboratory experience, particularly in soils and aggregates materials testing.
- Well-developed skills and understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of data, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to cope with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Knowledge of Australian and industry standards.
