Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our Global bakery yeast production development team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting laboratory testing duties and hands-on test baking.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern laboratory environment with a friendly and supportive team. You will have the chance to develop methods for monitoring the activity of factory products and provide advice and troubleshooting on matters relating to yeast performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare clear and concise reports drawing conclusions for non-specialists.
  • Provide advice and troubleshooting on yeast performance, activity test methods, and test equipment.
  • Perform activity testing accurately and reproducibly.
  • Conduct bake testing and assess bake test loaves, reporting results.
  • Ensure ABM commercial product performance is assessed and results reported.
  • Develop methods for monitoring the activity of factory products.
Requirements
  • Degree in Food Science or other Science-related Diploma qualification with previous laboratory experience - minimum 1 year.
  • Experience in Industrial Yeast or Baking environment.
  • Laboratory experience.
  • Desirable - Laboratory, yeast, activity testing, and baking testing experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
