Nursing Director

The Nursing Director Subacute & Ambulatory Care Services is a key leadership role within the Department of Medicine. This position provides effective leadership and management of nursing staff and services within Subacute & Ambulatory Care Services at Launceston General Hospital, Hospitals North.
This role involves leading patient care in an inter-professional environment to achieve the defined objectives of Subacute & Ambulatory Care within the Department of Medicine. To accomplish this goal, the successful candidate will be responsible for building a collaborative working relationship with other directors in the department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing operational plans, including the development of key performance indicators/targets and risk management strategies.
- Fostering a positive work environment that promotes collaboration and open communication among team members.
To be successful in this role, the candidate must have:
- Demonstrated experience in leading, managing coordinating and facilitating nursing/non-nursing practices within specific clinical areas of responsibility.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, patients, and families.
