About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Senior Retail Sales Assistant to join our team at Globe Home Timber & Hardware. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and maintaining a high level of product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card, and other payment methods.
  • Proactively engage with customers to promote products and services, and provide recommendations to drive sales.
  • Assist with stock management, including receiving and unpacking stock, rotating stock, and maintaining a high standard of presentation.
  • Perform various retail tasks, such as measuring and cutting timber, tinting paint, and cutting keys.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Knowledge of hardware or building trades is desirable, but not essential.
  • Forklift license is an advantage.
