Industry Skills Trainer

We are seeking a compassionate and passionate Industry Skills Trainer to deliver quality training programs that enhance job-hunting skills.

About the Role

  • Deliver structured, targeted vocational training programs both virtually and face-to-face.
  • Focus on delivering employability skills training courses to improve and enhance job-hunting skills.
  • Work closely with employment consultants and recruiters to identify skills gaps and provide effective feedback on job seeker progress.
  • Complete administrative tasks associated with the position.
  • Travel to various sites within the Greater Western Sydney area, based in the Penrith/Paramatta area.

About You

  • Experience in delivering industry-based training in Retail, Business, Community Services, or Hospitality.
  • Experience delivering virtual classroom sessions using MS Teams or similar video conferencing platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of ASQA Framework and Standards for RTOs.
  • Content development and validation experience advantageous.
  • Well-developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with diverse people.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with disadvantaged learners, particularly long-term unemployed.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills within the Office 365 suite of software packages.
  • High level of resilience, excellent time management skills.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher, plus a qualification in one of the mentioned industries.
  • Current valid driver's license for work-based travel and attendance at various locations.
