Position Overview:

We are seeking full-time Reliability (Maintenance) Shift Supervisors to enhance our Manufacturing Reliability team at the Berkeley Vale facility. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee maintenance coordination and activities during a designated shift, ensuring that service expectations are met. This position plays a crucial role in providing exceptional support to the Production team while maintaining plant reliability and offering technical assistance through training and troubleshooting for maintenance and manufacturing staff.

In response to significant growth across the organization, we are restructuring our team to enhance knowledge, support, and consistency throughout the site. We currently have openings for:

  • Day/Morning Shift – Sunday – Thursday 7am – 3pm
  • Afternoon Shift – Sunday – Thursday 3pm – 11pm
  • Night Shift – Sunday – Thursday 11pm – 7am

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a robust leadership and supervisory background, with the ability to foster effective relationships with various stakeholders while ensuring reliability and commercial objectives are achieved. The successful individual will demonstrate a strong history of constructive behaviors in the workplace, enabling them to:

  • Influence the performance of all Maintenance Team members during their assigned shift.
  • Communicate effectively with production and operations departments to coordinate maintenance and repair activities.
  • Oversee asset management and prioritize issues effectively.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and stakeholders through quality service.
  • Assist in planning and executing plant improvements and expansions.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and mentor employees to enhance the skills and contributions of maintenance technicians.
  • Maintain and update operational and training manuals for the maintenance department.
  • Ensure the department operates efficiently, cost-effectively, and delivers reliable results.
  • Ensure maintenance technicians are well-trained, equipped, and motivated to accomplish maintenance tasks safely and effectively.
  • Monitor and oversee the operation of plant equipment and systems.
  • Continuously review plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime, solve problems promptly, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Proactively implement WHS policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications / Experience:

  • Relevant trade or engineering qualification.
  • Ideally, a minimum of 2 years of experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment; broader manufacturing experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in supervisory, mentoring, or coaching roles.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Proven ability to lead a team to achieve optimal results consistently.
