About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance Reliability team on Afternoon Shift or Night Shift. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the reliability and continuity of our factory, which produces iconic Australian brands such as Up & Go, So Good, and Weet-Bix.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance schedules, attend breakdowns, and complete assigned tasks independently and proactively.
  • Have a working knowledge of mechanical equipment and skills to maintain, repair, and install.
  • Diagnose faults, production breakdowns, production start-ups, and operating settings.
  • Communicate with management regarding equipment and maintenance issues.
  • Have a Boiler Operating qualification and knowledge of providing food (HACCP) and people safety.
  • Be familiar with and able to use computerised Maintenance System.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in Fitter Trade Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Experience within the FMCG manufacturing industry (preferred).
  • Strong customer focus and team orientation.
  • Competent in servicing and maintaining industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering and pneumatic drawings.
