About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance Reliability team at Sanitarium. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and continuity of our factory, which produces some of Australia's most iconic brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance schedules, attend breakdowns, and complete assigned tasks independently and proactively.
  • Have a working knowledge of mechanical equipment and skills to maintain, repair, and install.
  • Be competent in diagnosing faults, production breakdowns, production start-ups, and operating settings.
  • Communicate with management in relation to equipment and maintenance issues.
  • Have a Boiler Operating qualification (or be willing to obtain it).
  • Have knowledge and skills in providing both food (HACCP) and people safety.
  • Have a forklift licence (an advantage).
  • Be able to read and understand engineering and pneumatic drawings.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in Fitter Trade Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Experience within the FMCG manufacturing industry (preferred).
  • Strong customer focus and team orientation.
  • Competent in servicing and maintaining industrial equipment.
  • Familiar with and able to use computerised Maintenance System.
