Culinary Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Culinary Professional to join our team. As a Culinary Professional, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for children in a childcare environment.

This is a unique opportunity to utilize your culinary skills in a dynamic and supportive setting. You will have the chance to work with a diverse group of children and develop your skills in meal planning and nutrition guidance.

As a Culinary Professional, you will be required to work independently and as part of a team. You will need to be confident in your ability to prepare healthy and nutritious meals for large groups of children.

This role offers a great work-life balance, with no weekend work or late-night shifts. You will also have the opportunity to choose when and how you work, managing your schedule via our app.

About You:

  • A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is highly desirable
  • Experience cooking in childcare, aged care, or hospitals is a plus
  • A Safe Food Handling Certificate is essential
  • Allergen awareness and commitment to meet dietary, cultural, and nutritional needs of children
  • Availability for a minimum of 2 shifts per week
  • Willingness to travel to different locations around your area
  • Australian work rights and willingness to obtain a Working with Children Card
  • Possession of a First Aid certificate is highly regarded
  • Commitment to Child Safeguarding and understanding Mandatory Reporting responsibilities
  • Ability to provide contact details of two professional referees familiar with your work
