Job Summary

This is a senior role within the fund accounting team responsible for managing a portfolio of funds across various asset classes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Delivery Management: Ensure timely delivery of client reports and statements in line with service level agreements.
  • Team Oversight: Collaborate with managers to provide daily oversight and support to a team of fund accountants.
  • Audit and Compliance: Liaise with external auditors and service providers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare annual financial statements, periodic management reporting packs, and other financial reports as required.
  • Transaction Capture: Manage and support all aspects of transaction capture, including accruals, trades, interest, distributions, and capital.
Requirements
  • Experience in Fund Accounting or Relevant Role: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fund accounting or a relevant accounting role within the financial services industry.
  • Accounting Qualifications: Requisite qualifications in accounting and/or finance (CPA/CA qualified or willing to study CPA/CA).
  • Statutory Reporting Experience: Experience in management and statutory reporting, e.g., Investment Management Reports and General-Purpose Financial Statements.
  • Financial Instruments Knowledge: Knowledge of financial instruments or other asset types, such as property, loans, or private equity.
  • NAV Preparation and Tax Calculations: Experience with NAV preparation, tax/distribution calculations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Audit Experience: Audit experience with the Big 4 is advantageous.
  • Microsoft Skills: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
