Job Summary

This is a permanent part-time (48 hours/fortnight) or casual opportunity located in Kings Cross. We require an individual with experience working with people who inject drugs or those with complex trauma.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals who inject drugs or those with complex trauma.
  • Experience working in needle syringe services, drug and alcohol services, crisis, or accommodation services.
  • A sound understanding of harm reduction, social justice, and the service delivery model and values of MSIC.
  • A demonstrated adherence to trauma-informed principles of practice and care.
  • A sound understanding of the health, social, and legal issues related to injecting drug use and marginalised populations.
  • Computer competence including word processing and the use of clinical databases.
  • Qualifications in welfare or social sciences, social work, psychology, public health, or equivalent or working towards the same.
