Job Overview

This role is a key part of our team responsible for developing and maintaining a robust credit risk model governance framework, ensuring ongoing model monitoring and compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the ongoing monitoring of credit risk models to maintain effective risk management practices.
  • Collaborate with credit risk modellers, product risk managers, data and system teams, project teams, independent model validators, and other stakeholders to stay updated on recent developments.
  • Ensure core modelling data is managed and maintained to meet business requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate regular credit risk model monitoring forums and reviews of model monitoring outcomes.
  • Enhance the existing model monitoring framework by adopting new tools and technologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure efficient and robust data transition from development to production environments.
  • Track risk issues and resolutions, recommending remedial action for marginal or unsatisfactory model performance.
  • Execute delivery of data requests and supporting analysis required for regulatory validation.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in credit risk analytics/management with a detailed understanding of data management, business, and consumer portfolios.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of statistical models and data.
  • Able to identify opportunities to enhance existing business processes through statistical models and tools.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to learn and adapt.
  • Tertiary qualifications (Quantitative, Actuarial, Statistics, or other relevant degree) or equivalent business experience.
  • Technical orientations: SAS programming, SQL, R, Excel with VBA, Word, PowerPoint, and Tableau.
