Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal teams to revise documents that define parts, processes and sequences.
  • Visit suppliers and assist in auditing their processes, recommending alternatives and reporting back on progress.
  • Partner with internal teams to align supplier performance with company goals.
  • Provide technical expertise to suppliers to enhance their capabilities and resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Develop and implement supplier performance metrics to track adherence to cost, quality and delivery expectations.
  • Assist suppliers in developing plans to increase efficiency.
  • Record and submit change requests for changes to build and design required to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Assist in implementing engineering changes into supplier-made parts/assemblies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of progressive hands-on experience in a detail part and/or assembly manufacturing environment.
  • Degree or diploma in Engineering or Engineering Technology; or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing Engineering, Planning or Methods role.
  • Knowledge of fabrication and assembly of aircraft parts, structures, and systems.
  • Strong customer focus and good communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to apply sound engineering principles to operational and process design issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiar with computer-aided design software such as CATIA, Enovia, AutoCAD, Solidworks.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once.
