About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Payroll Accountant to join our team. As a Payroll Accountant, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our payroll processes. Your expertise will help us maintain our high standards of financial management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement compliance controls to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Support payroll projects and serve as a liaison between Payroll, IT, and Workday teams.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, responding to audit requests and ensuring zero payroll findings.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, People, and Finance teams to implement and maintain services and processes in accordance with company policies, practices, laws, and regulatory guidelines.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong technical skills and experience in payroll accounting and compliance.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Current knowledge of taxation, superannuation, and legislative changes related to Payroll Tax, PAYG.
  • Payroll statutory reporting obligations and general ledger reconciliations principles.
