Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced care to inpatient and ambulatory patients within the Royal Darwin Hospital, regional hospitals, and remote communities.
  • Lead outreach services to Katherine and Gove hospitals.
  • Conduct regular inpatient ward rounds and outpatient sessions, providing expert opinion to referring medical practitioners.
  • Participate in continuous medical education, professional development, peer reviews, research, teaching, and quality improvement activities.
  • Supervise junior medical and clinical staff.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Hold general or specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Be a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or equivalent.
  • Have relevant experience and training in paediatrics.
  • Demonstrate research capability and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Share passion for rural, regional, and Aboriginal healthcare.
