Electrical Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced electrical maintenance technician to join our maintenance team at our state-of-the-art facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking preventative electrical maintenance to optimize production and responding to breakdowns in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining equipment and providing service to ensure efficient production line operation, including responding to variable speed drives, servo motors, and systems, and robot programming and maintenance
  • Supporting improvement projects that aim to reduce unplanned stoppages and improve overall efficiency
  • Coching operators to improve their process knowledge and skills, ensuring a smooth workflow and minimizing downtime
  • Reviewing, creating, and modifying preventative maintenance plans for optimum line performance, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain and improve OH&S and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards in the workplace, promoting a safe and healthy work environment

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a current A Grade Electrical license with at least four years post-trade experience, excellent Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting experience, ability to read and interpret schematic drawings, good time management skills, ability to work well under pressure, strong verbal and written communication skills, proactive cooperation, and a demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.

A willingness and ability to learn new processes, the initiative and courage to speak out when correction is required, and at least two years' experience in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment are desirable.

Our offer includes a 36 hour week, 9 days a fortnight working hours, overtime during the week and on weekends, great facilities on site, including canteen service, and we supply tools and uniforms.

Employment terms and conditions are as per the National Framework Agreement 2021-2024.
