Job Description:

This role provides critical support to Investment Risk functions across various entities, contributing to the development and implementation of best-practice approaches in Investment Risk Analytics and Reporting. The team is responsible for Market, Liquidity, and Counterparty Risk reporting.

The ideal candidate will contribute to the enhancement of Investment Risk monitoring, governance, reporting, data integrity, and over-the-counter instrument capture. They will also ensure the accuracy of risk-related documentation, such as policies, standards, frameworks, and procedures.

Additionally, they will improve existing risk processes, controls, and engineering future-fit solutions. They will work with stakeholders and service providers to deliver key objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in Business, Commerce, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Postgraduate qualifications (e.g. CFA, FRM) are highly regarded
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial services, including 2+ years in Investment Risk
  • A strong understanding of Australian Investment Risk regulations; offshore exposure is a plus
  • Experience across at least one of these asset classes: Fixed Income, Equities, Multi Asset
  • Familiarity with derivatives
  • Experience with third-party risk models and explaining risk drivers to stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential; VBA, PowerBI, and FactSet are desirable
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Lists
