We are seeking an experienced Corporate Compliance Officer to join our team in Melbourne.

Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and organized individual to join our compliance team as a Corporate Compliance Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking conflict searches, analyzing reports, and escalating potential issues for resolution to escalation points.
You will also take ownership of new business intake matters, carrying out full risk analysis and liaising with stakeholders, including partners, associates, and other member firms. Additionally, you will ensure that regulations such as AML Directives and SRA Code of Conduct are adhered to within the firm, and keep up-to-date with changes in the legal and regulatory landscape.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking conflict searches, analyzing reports, and escalating potential issues for resolution to escalation points;
- Taking ownership of new business intake matters, carrying out full risk analysis and liaising with stakeholders;
- Ensuring that regulations are adhered to within the firm and keeping up-to-date with changes in the legal and regulatory landscape;
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum of 1-2 years' experience working in a business, legal or related professional services firm;
- An interest in Risk and Compliance with a key interest in developing knowledge of commercial, political, and risk issues affecting our business;
- Excellent computer skills with an ability to switch between different database interfaces and online tools;
- Excellent aptitude for research and familiarity with online research tools;
- Ability to critically evaluate multiple sources, identifying key risk issues;
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work streams;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Accuracy and an eye for detail;
- Ability to work under pressure with support;
- Show aptitude to work on increasingly complex checks;
- Develop a working knowledge of other Regions professional rules;
- Self-driven individual;
Norton Rose Fulbright offers a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, plus superannuation and benefits.
