This role requires the nurse to lead and deliver person-centred nursing care, consolidating comprehensive educational preparation as they move from novice to proficient practitioner. The Registered Nurse/Midwife will exercise greater levels of autonomy and professional judgement in the clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain current knowledge and competence within the scope of position by adhering to codes of ethics, professional standards, and legislation affecting nursing practice.
- Participate in a working environment that supports quality human resource management practices, including employment equity, anti-discrimination, workplace health and safety, and ethical behaviour.
- Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies, and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high-quality, safe services and workplaces.
- Fulfill the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Public Service Values.
