HSEQ Advisor Job Description

This is a specialist role that plays a crucial part in implementing the company's health, safety, environment, and quality management systems at site level.

The Safety Advisor will provide direct support and resources on health and safety issues to facilitate compliance with our Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Management System. This includes food safety and support to operational teams.

This role requires a highly skilled professional who can lead incident investigations and implement processes to ensure incidents are reported and investigations completed. The ideal candidate will also conduct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual audits to ensure compliance with all legal, company, and client requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree or diploma in Work Health and Safety, or minimum Certificate IV Work Health and Safety.
  • Qualifications in ICAM investigations along with root cause analysis competencies (preferred).
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Health and Safety, Environmental, Health or similar.
  • A driver's licence (essential).
  • Food safety handling or supervisory experience desirable.
  • Previous site-based HSEQ experience highly regarded.
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholder relationships, effectively bringing people along the site safety journey.
  • Well-developed skills in communication with the ability to coach and influence key stakeholders.
