Chef Role in Coastal Restaurant

We're looking for a skilled Chef to join our kitchen team at our restaurant located within the One Mile Ingenia Holiday Park. The ideal candidate will have a passion for great food, friendly service, and working in a relaxed seaside setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and serve high-quality meals using fresh, local ingredients, following menu guidelines and minimising waste.
  • Stock Management: Manage stock efficiently, ordering, receiving, and rotating to ensure freshness and compliance with food safety standards.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area, including equipment and surfaces.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with your team to create a positive and productive environment.
  • WHS and Food Safety: Follow all WHS and food safety procedures, including audits, chemical handling, and accurate record-keeping.
Requirements:
  • Food Safety Training: Previous food safety training and a solid understanding of HACCP principles.
  • Cooking Experience: Experience in food preparation and cooking with strong communication and basic budgeting skills.
  • Team Player: A proactive, respectful team player who takes feedback well and contributes to a positive work culture.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively, stay calm under pressure, and maintain high standards.
  • Physical Demands: Comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting, standing for long periods, and using kitchen equipment safely with PPE.
