Marketing Performance Analyst

Transform marketing activity into commercial success by joining our team as a Marketing Performance Analyst. This newly created role reports directly to the GM – Marketing and offers the opportunity to shape how we measure, analyse, and optimise marketing initiatives.

As a key member of the marketing team, you will work across traditional and digital marketing channels, loyalty programs, online transactions, and promotional activities. You'll provide data-driven insights to improve campaign effectiveness, customer engagement, and ROI.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3–5 years' experience in a commercial or business analyst role, ideally in a retail environment.
  • Finance or accounting background (CPA qualified or Big 4 consultancy experience highly regarded).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large datasets and translate them into clear recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Phocas, or Cognos.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysing marketing campaigns across online, digital, in-store, and trade channels — tracking reach, frequency, impressions, click-through, engagement, and sales impact.
  • Combining multiple datasets to produce actionable insights for marketing and merchandising, including product category performance, profit, and return.
  • Supporting customer segmentation, loyalty analysis, and targeting strategies.
  • Evaluating promotional uplift and recommending opportunities for improvement.
  • Building commercial models to assess campaign ROI, discount effectiveness, and spend efficiency.
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI, Phocas or similar tools.
  • Collaborating with marketing, merchandising, digital, and finance teams to align insights and strategy.
