About the Role

The Senior Contract Administrator will play a key role in drafting, developing, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for commercial construction projects. This critical position requires engagement with corporate partners in negotiations, management of commercial risks, and compliance with project timelines and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, develop, review, and negotiate contracts and deeds of variation for commercial construction programs, works projects, and provision of services;
  • Engage corporate partners in negotiations while advancing company strategic interests;
  • Analyse contractual offers for potential commercial risks involved with specific terms, warranties, and guarantees;
  • Clarify terms and conditions to corporate managers, quantity surveyors, civil engineers, and contractual parties;
  • Respond to inquiries and resolve issues concerning company contracts, construction programs, commercial projects, services provided, and affected entities;
  • Administer corporate contracts, including the management, storage, and retrieval of wet-ink executed paper-based documents and electronically executed contracts for corporate operations;
  • Liaise and work with company director, administration manager, site managers, civil engineers, and other professionals to ensure that project timelines and development goals are met;
  • Advise company director and senior management on specific issues and matters requiring their attention and implementing their decisions;
  • Monitor corporate deadlines and ensure key contractual conditions are met;
  • Supervise and report on applied variations to contractual terms and work orders;
  • Prepare and review proposals, submissions, and reports concerning commercial activities and construction operations;
  • Review and arrange new office accommodation and storage facilities for corporate asset pool;
  • Collect, maintain, and analyse data on construction projects and reporting on commercial outcomes;
  • Standardise language across corporate contracts and construction project development and planning documentation.
Requirements

This role requires an AQF diploma or higher, four years of work experience in the occupation, proficiency in English, strong understanding of workplace WHS procedures, Australian operational experience in building and civil projects, and satisfactory experience with quality assurance procedures and policy compliance.
