About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Manager to join our team at Swinburne University of Technology. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for establishing and managing our reporting and data visualization functions using Microsoft Power BI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for reporting and data visualization using Microsoft Power BI.
  • Align the strategy with the university's goals, ensuring that reporting outputs support decision-making at all levels.
  • Lead and manage a team of BI developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality output.
  • Oversee the administration and optimization of the Power BI environment, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Ensure all reporting activities adhere to university data governance policies and procedures, maintaining data integrity and security.
  • Engage with university stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and ensure that BI solutions meet their needs.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Professional certifications in BI tools or related areas are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of DAX and creation of semantic models for Power BI.
