A Unique Opportunity in Regional Queensland:

We are seeking Vocationally Registered General Practitioners to join our team at Goondir Health Services. You will be working in regional Queensland, providing culturally safe and patient-centred primary healthcare to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver culturally responsive patient consultations
  • Manage chronic disease and preventative health plans
  • Collaborate with Aboriginal Health Practitioners and allied health teams
  • Support maternal and child health, mental health, and wellbeing initiatives
  • Utilise telehealth and local referral pathways
  • Ensure compliance with AGPAL and ISO clinical governance
  • Participate in monthly peer support and professional development forums

As a General Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The Ideal Candidate:

  • A Vocationally Registered (VR) GP, holding Fellowship with RACGP, ACRRM, or an equivalent college
  • Unrestricted AHPRA registration
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in general practice, ideally with exposure to rural, remote, or Aboriginal health settings
  • A strong understanding of cultural safety principles or a willingness to develop this, with full training and support provided
  • Proficiency in Medicare billing and patient care planning
  • The ability to work independently with a community mindset
