About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities or Assets Manager to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of properties on behalf of the government, including schools, hospitals, courts, and police stations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify areas of risk and opportunity in relation to maintenance and capital works, developing and implementing strategies to achieve optimal lifecycle costs and maximize facilities and/or assets.
  • Support the delivery of property asset management initiatives and all other strategic planning projects.
  • Analyse regular call-outs, reactive maintenance, and other requests to inform departmental asset maintenance plans and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical, facilities management, and asset maintenance inquiries.
  • Monitor and direct contractor performance to ensure timely and budget-friendly execution of contracts.
  • Support contract compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Assist with audits and inspections to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Maintain positive relationships with agencies, sub-contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
  • Monitor and report on subcontractor performance to ensure proactive adherence to program objectives.
