Waste Management Professional

The City is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join the team as a Waste Manager and Cleansing Service Coordinator.

This critical role leads the delivery of waste operations and cleansing services, overseeing major contracts, operational staff, and customer service performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate strategic planning and delivery of waste collection, disposal, and cleansing services.
  • Manage significant contractor relationships and performance.
  • Ensure strong customer service focus across all waste and cleansing functions.
  • Oversee budget management, operational planning, and compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Drive continuous improvement and organisational development within the team.
  • Attend meetings, represent the City at stakeholder forums, and manage briefing requirements.
  • Contribute to whole-of-organisation leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing industrial workforces.
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management capability.
  • Strategic planning skills across operational and environmental functions.
  • Experience managing complex contracts and delivering service excellence.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
  • C Class Driver's Licence.
