About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our Investments Legal team. As a trusted advisor and business partner, you will provide specialist legal advice and services to the Public and Capital Markets teams in the Investments division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist legal advice on Equity Capital Markets transactions for the Public Markets team.
  • Advise on complex investment-related documentation and structures arising from the Public and Capital Markets teams.
  • Collaborate and develop strong relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure advice aligns with the strategic goals of Australian Retirement Trust.
About You

You will be a great communicator with top-notch interpersonal skills. We expect you to identify problems and devise quick, creative solutions. Ideally, you will meet some of the following criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification in Law and a current unrestricted practising certificate as a Legal Practitioner in Australia.
  • Extensive legal experience in a law firm and/or investment bank specializing in public markets and/or equity capital markets transactions.
  • Ability to lead negotiations on a range of matters.
  • Proven ability to provide professional, concise advice and solutions to technical, legislative, and strategic issues.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strategic working relationships, influence, negotiate with, and persuade senior stakeholders.
