About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team in Brisbane. As a key member of our Corporate and Commercial Legal team, you will play a critical role in providing legal services and support to multiple business units across the BOQ Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of commercial agreements, including master services agreements, software licenses, and other bespoke contracts.
  • Assist in the negotiation and drafting of complex commercial contracts, ensuring they meet the BOQ Group's third-party contract standards.
  • Collaborate with senior members of the BOQ Group's management and executive team to provide strategic input and legal solutions on business matters.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of legal strategies to support the BOQ Group's business objectives.

About You

We are looking for a talented and experienced lawyer with a strong commercial acumen and the ability to provide solutions-focused, commercial legal advice to a diverse range of stakeholders. You will have:

  • A strong understanding of technology law, operational risk management regulations, and data protection.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
  • A proven track record of providing strategic input and legal solutions on business matters.
