About the Role

Central Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Technical Officer Grade 2 Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Candidate Pool to join our team. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, performing routine diagnostic techniques, participating in problem definition, planning, execution, analysis, and reporting.

The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge, expertise, and competence in microbiology and infectious diseases, with the ability to apply their skills in a variety of settings. They will also be able to contribute to the development, selection, and adoption of new techniques and methodologies, as well as assist in the training and supervision of laboratory staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing standard diagnostic tests across multiple scientific/technical method domains in the Virology Laboratory.
  • Contributing to the development, selection, and adoption of new techniques and methodologies.
  • Assisting in the training and supervision of laboratory staff.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess a relevant diploma or advanced diploma qualification, have current national police clearance, and immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. You should also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
