Home Care Worker Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team in the Toowoomba area.

As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of older people by providing them with safe and supportive living environments.

  • Domestic Assistance: Cleaning homes to ensure they remain safe and beautiful places for customers to live.
  • Assisting customers with meal preparation and shopping tasks.
  • Providing social support and access to lifestyle activities that cater to their interests.
  • Personal care including getting customers ready, showered, and dressed for the day, as well as assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
  • Offering respite and emotional support to customers.
  • Transporting customers to appointments and providing social support during these interactions.
  • Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia.
Key Responsibilities:

Our ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to improving the quality of life and wellbeing for our customers through tailored in-home care services. They will also be available to work at least three days a week, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend shifts required.

  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle.
  • The ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to seek assistance from a Manager if needed.
  • A willingness to learn and grow within the role, with opportunities for professional development and certification.
