Job Title: Dental Healthcare Professional

As a key member of our healthcare team, the dental healthcare professional plays a vital role in delivering quality care to the community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for examining patients, diagnosing oral health conditions, and prescribing or directing treatment as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine patients, diagnose oral health conditions, and prescribe treatment.
  • Record patient-dentist transactions accurately and complete referrals, data collection instruments, and other records as required.
  • Educate individuals on oral health-related conditions and promote disease prevention.
  • Serve on dental staff committees and prepare reports as requested.
  • Assist in continuing education, on-the-job training, and orientation of center staff.
  • Design and implement dental department policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Provide technical assistance and health education to the community.
  • Participate in short- and long-term program planning and provide consultation to leaders.
  • Travel when necessary and attend meetings to represent the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited dental school.
  • Completion of a general practice residency program is preferred.
  • Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledge of public health principles and practices preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required.
  • Maintain clinical privileges and obtain necessary certifications.
  • Licensure and Credentials:
  • Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the state.
  • CPR (BLS) certifications. ACLS preferred.
  • State registration and Medicare provider numbers.
