Job Description

The On-Site Technician plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer-centric onsite support to assigned customers.

This includes comprehensive support for operating systems, desktop management client software, nominated applications and peripherals, PC systems and peripherals, smart devices, and IT tool training.

As an On-Site Technician, you will foster innovation through close working relationships and knowledge of the client environment.

The technician will be supported through Fujitsu's Staff Enablement Model, which promotes initiative, decision-making, personal leadership, and effective communication.

  • Support desktop, infrastructure, and services across multiple technology streams, including hardware, OS, software, networks, servers, print, etc.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents and SRs within agreed SLAs and follow breach reporting process for failed SLAs.
  • Maintain data integrity within the CMDB during asset refresh, relocation deployment, and decommissioning.
  • Perform maintenance and housekeeping of customers' physical infrastructure, including desktop equipment, peripherals, telephony, print devices, audio/visual conferencing equipment.
  • Manage customer expectations by keeping them updated on case progress and notifying of delays.
  • Log and maintain all customer interactions and activities in the correct client ITSM tool.
  • Promptly escalate operational issues and ensure accurate recording and submission of timesheets and project efforts.
  • Complete required training on time and adhere to WHS practices, instructions, and policy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Demonstrated entry-level technical knowledge of hardware and peripherals, including laptops, notebooks, workstations, desktop PCs, printers, media, and audio visual equipment.
  • Entry-level knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, SCCM, and End-Point Imaging.
  • Basic working knowledge of IT infrastructure and network equipment, including routers, switches, servers, virtualization, VPN, RSA, Citrix, VMware, Hyper-Converged Infrastructures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical information.
