Job Opportunity

As a Culinary Expert, you will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking high-quality meals for domestic and international airlines in Economy, Business, and First class.

A typical day as a Culinary Expert includes working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preparing hot and cold meals in commercial quantities, assisting with planning and executing daily and weekly schedules, and maintaining a clean and hygienic workstation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing hot and cold meals for business and economy class passengers.
  • Executing precise recipes and creating inspired dishes from menus tailored to each airline partner.
  • Handling bulk ingredients and working on mise en place.
  • Responsible for stock control and minimizing food wastage.
  • Following instructions from the section CDP or Sous Chefs with assigned tasks.
  • Working with teams of Catering Attendants and Production Leading Hands to fulfill daily work orders.
  • Cleaning and maintaining a hygienic workstation and kitchen environment.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III Commercial Cookery or higher qualifications required.
  • Passion and drive to deliver high-quality food to customers.
  • Ability to work a flexible 7-day rotating roster.
  • Understanding of ingredients and experience cooking Asian cuisine such as Japanese, Thai, Malay, Nyonya, or Cantonese recipes.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Motivated, hardworking, and good attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a very busy kitchen.
