About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Tradesperson to join our maintenance team at Rix's Creek Mine. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing safe, effective, and efficient preventative maintenance and breakdown support on open cut mobile equipment, CHPP, and mining infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality inspections of machinery and document as per legislative and operational requirements
  • Collaborate with the team on meeting safety, maintenance, and production goals through efficient practices
  • Utilise your expertise to deliver a high standard of work, contributing to the smooth functioning of the mining operation
Essential Criteria
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
  • Mechanical trade qualification (Plant Mechanic / Fitter)
  • Proven experience working on open cut mining equipment and infrastructure (predominantly CAT, Hitachi, and Liebherr)
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and statutory requirements
  • Experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with fellow team members
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence
