Key Role Summary:

This position involves working with a small team to support the design, planning, installation and testing of communication systems upgrades on Australian defence projects. The ideal candidate will have an electronics communications background and strong technical skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing installation documentation to support installation activities
  • Performing installation of project specific equipment
  • Testing new installations to ensure compliance with standards and safety requirements
  • Servicing electronic and communication equipment/software to support sub-system and system level testing
  • Ensuring quality, workmanship, mentoring and task completion in support of the Project Team

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • AQF Certificate/Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Systems (or currently completing)
  • Practical experience on communication and/or electronic systems
  • Computer literacy skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office applications
  • Understanding of configuration management processes and procedures

National Security Clearance:

The successful applicant will require a Defence security clearance as they must be an Australian citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
