Job Title: Electronics Communications Technician

The role of an Installation, Integration and Test Technician is a challenging opportunity to work on defence projects, utilising technical skills and knowledge to support the design, planning, installation and testing of communication systems upgrades.

This position involves developing installation documentation to support installation activities, performing installation of project-specific equipment, testing new installations to ensure compliance with standards and safety requirements, setting up electronic and communication equipment/software to support sub-system and system-level testing, and ensuring quality, workmanship, mentoring and task completion in support of the Project Team.

Required qualifications include:

  • AQF Certificate/Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Systems (or currently completing);
  • Practical experience on communication and/or electronic systems;
  • Computer literacy skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office applications;
  • Understanding of configuration management processes and procedures.

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
