Cyber Response Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cyber Response Specialist to join our team in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of our cyber incident response team, you will play a critical role in helping organisations manage the lifecycle of a cyber incident, related investigations, and litigation.
The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of post-qualification experience in cyber or privacy law, with a strong focus on crisis and reputational management. You will be responsible for providing expert advice to clients on matters of privacy compliance, cyber incidents readiness, and resilience exercises.
Key Responsibilities- Manage customer-facing breach response and crisis management for our clients from start to finish.
- Coordinate initial responses to cyber incidents, including client instructions and maintenance of client files.
- Liaise directly with clients regarding incidents, ensuring seamless communication and resolution.
- Assist with regulatory obligations, investigations, and notification requirements.
- Complete incident reports outlining incident status, remediation activities, and post-incident reviews.
- Strong academic credentials and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interest in or demonstrated practical cyber and privacy-related experience beneficial.
- Proven experience dealing with escalated customer-facing issues and handling high caseloads.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
- Commercial awareness and confidence in building rapport with clients.
