About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cyber Response Specialist to join our team in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of our cyber incident response team, you will play a critical role in helping organisations manage the lifecycle of a cyber incident, related investigations, and litigation.

The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of post-qualification experience in cyber or privacy law, with a strong focus on crisis and reputational management. You will be responsible for providing expert advice to clients on matters of privacy compliance, cyber incidents readiness, and resilience exercises.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage customer-facing breach response and crisis management for our clients from start to finish.
  2. Coordinate initial responses to cyber incidents, including client instructions and maintenance of client files.
  3. Liaise directly with clients regarding incidents, ensuring seamless communication and resolution.
  4. Assist with regulatory obligations, investigations, and notification requirements.
  5. Complete incident reports outlining incident status, remediation activities, and post-incident reviews.
Requirements
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interest in or demonstrated practical cyber and privacy-related experience beneficial.
  • Proven experience dealing with escalated customer-facing issues and handling high caseloads.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
  • Commercial awareness and confidence in building rapport with clients.
