Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial processes, preparing reports, and collaborating with development managers. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage monthly and quarterly financial reporting
  • Prepare and track construction draws and lender requisitions
  • Review and approve AP and draw documentation
  • Partner with development managers to review budgets, actuals, and forecasts
  • Maintain and reconcile project general ledgers, including job cost tracking
  • Prepare monthly development financial packages and variance analyses
  • Record journal entries, capitalizing development costs and fee accruals
  • Track construction loan activity and interest reserves
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in real estate accounting, preferably in development or construction
  • Familiarity with real estate capital structures, development timelines, and construction lending
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
  • Excel proficiency and ability to work in project-based accounting systems
  • Clear communication skills and proactive, solution-driven mindset
