Role Summary

The Head of Media and Communications is responsible for developing and implementing effective media relations strategies to promote Aruma's brand awareness and establish us as a Human Rights leader in the disability sector. This role requires a highly skilled professional with expertise in corporate communications, media strategy, and stakeholder management.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement media relations strategies to promote Aruma's brand awareness and establish us as a Human Rights leader in the disability sector.
  • Lead a high-performing Media and Communications team, providing strategic guidance and ensuring they meet their objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement crisis communication strategies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key media contacts and leverage innovative communication techniques to enhance Aruma's outreach.
  • Contribute to the development of business cases and proposals to secure funding for communications initiatives.

  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and writing skills tailored for diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills to simplify and translate complex information.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and stay up-to-date with industry trends.
